What is this workshop about?

In this course, our experts will take you through the process of making Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) from scratch! You’ll make a PCB prototype to function as a clap circuit - the system detects clap sound to power an LED bulb.

Here's what you'll learn by working on this project:

  • Circuit design using software tools
  • PCB fabrication as per design input
  • Testing PCB after loading components

Course Highlights

  • Design and Manufacture your own PCB
  • Develop and Test your own Clap circuit
  • Understand the steps and processes involved in PCB manufacturing
  • Developing the schematics of circuit using industry grade software

Course Structure

  • Lecture Session – 3 hrs
  • Design Session - 5 hrs
  • Fabrication Session - 4 hrs
  • Assembling of Components - 2 hrs
  • Testing Session - 1.5 hrs
  • Certificate Distribution - 0.5 hr

Topics Covered

  • PCB - An Introduction
  • EDA (Electronic Design Automation) - Outline & Standard practices
  • Schematic Design - Developing a clap circuit
  • Netlist creation & Board bringup
  • Fabrication Techniques
  • Assembling, Soldering and Testing
